Amaya x GoDaddy

Scroll down to watch along.

What began as a talent-team experiment (could one creator carry an end-to-end campaign and move both awareness and conversions?) became a run of firsts: GoDaddy's first fully internal production, our first tiger-team campaign built to move around the usual approvals, and my first fully creative-directed one, from concept to visual treatment to every line of copy.

I directed Amaya to my script and past it, pulling extra questions on the fly to fill out the story. Then I led the first rough cut on both videos and kept revising as newly energized stakeholders raised the stakes, at one point pivoting the whole concept from domains to the website builder after we'd already shot for domains.

The copy borrowed the "daddy" language from our upcoming brand campaign, rebuilt for a young, female Gen Z audience. I carried it to the conversion surface too, writing the landing page and shaping its UX. A concept meant to be self-shot got leadership excited enough to fund a modest production, then back it with paid media.

TLDR: One creator, a stack of firsts, and "daddy" language reengineered for Gen Z women. A self-shot idea earned a real budget and a lot of walls to climb. Payoff: 1M views in three days, 2M+ across TikTok and IG, a TikTok cut at 3.5% engagement (above benchmark for its size), and one of GoDaddy's biggest earners to date.
